- Is e-PharmPro TJC (Joint Commission) and HIPAA compliant?
Yes. We credential all of our staff to meet Joint Commission and HIPAA compliance.
- How does e-PharmPro determine price for service fees and expenses?
e-PharmPro determines service fees based on line items per night and hours or service requested. Line items include new orders, discontinuations, continuations, and interventions. e-PharmPro can also provide customized pricing options to each facility, depending on their unique needs.
- Our hospital focuses on a specific area of medicine. Can you provide pharmacists who can support our area of clinical expertise?
Our staff consists of state licensed pharmacists representing nearly 200 disciplines. We’ll create a team of pharmacists licensed in your state with the right expertise to match your hospital’s area of clinical specialty.
- What hours could e-PharmPro cover for our facility?
e-PharmPro can offer coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- If we decide to go with e-PharmPro as 24-7 support how long will the implementation process take?
In most cases, we can start a new hospital in 60 to 90 days, depending on the size of the hospital, staffing, and the hospital’s operating system.
- Will e-PharmPro be able to work on our hospital’s pharmacy operating system?
Yes! e-PharmPro can work on any pharmacy document management system.
- What states are you currently working with, and what states are you looking to expand into?
We are currently able to work in the states of: ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI, PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, NC, FL, OH, KY, TN, IN, MI, MO, OH, IA, NM, CO, AZ.We are in the process of expanding into the states of: WV, SC, GA, MN, NE, KS, TX.
- What is your accuracy rating when it comes to filling and verifying prescriptions?
We strive to continually improve our accuracy rating with a development process we created termed “PIP” Process Improvement Program. At a minimum we will be equal to or greater than the expectations you hold for your own facility.
- What is your average turnaround time?
Our current average turnaround time is 14 minutes. We guarantee 25 minutes.
- Will the nurses speak with the same pharmacist every call or will they be forwarded to a different pharmacist each time they need assistance?
Every hospital is assigned a primary pharmacist as a point of contact. Nurses will be able to connect with their primary pharmacist and not have to deal with automated attendants, busy signals, or voicemail boxes.
- Once e-PharmPro is implemented into a hospital’s system what procedures are used to ensure effective and efficient communication between the nursing and e-PharmPro pharmacists?
e-PharmPro pharmacists are trained to be the support team that assists nursing in every way possible to improve patient care. We are available to nursing via the phone, fax, and email at all times while we are working. In addition to everyday communication, e-PharmPro is dedicated to a continual process improvement cycle. As part of our Process Improvement Initiative, we ask the hospitals to provide medication and process feedback on a daily basis. We use this information as educational tools for our pharmacists.
- Does e-PharmPro primarily focus on remote order entry services?
No, e-PharmPro also offers consultation services, Long Term Care support, and a proprietary software to improve pharmacy workflow.
